2009 Graduation

SIBNW is delighted to announce our first graduating class!  The class of 2009, from left to right names are as follows:  Robert Henton, Micah Powless, Tee Jay Bolen, Val Blinkov, and Jonathan Harless. These students have completed the first chapter of God’s calling and now are on their way to finish the race.

The students future plans are already set  in motion. Robert Henton is the Minister for the Puyallup church of Christ. Micah Powless, will be the full-time Evangelist for the church of Christ in Moses Lake.  Tee Jay, will be one of the ministers working with the DuPont church plant.  Val Blinkov is planning to go to the Baltic republics of Estonia, and Latvia and Jonathan Harless  is seeking opportunities, which are depending on location due to his wife’s military career.

These soon-to-be graduates are very thankful for the opportunity they have had for growth and study in God’s Word, which SIBINW has provided.  Also a special note of thanks needs to go to the Puyallup church of Christ, for all their support to the students and the school.  They are truly the backbone of both the students and SIBINW’s success and for that we are forever grateful.  Students, your journey has just begun. God bless your work for Christ!   Congratulations to the Class of 2009!  May your work flourish for Him!

Commencements will take place Saturday, May 23, 2009, at the Puyallup Church of Christ at 8:00am. Please join us in fellowship along with wishing these young men Godspeed, as they follow their future path in doing God’s will, bringing the lost to Christ

Sunset International Bible Institute Degree

Through a new degree program at Sunset International Bible Institute you can receive a Bachelor of Biblical Studies degree and qualify to enter a Master of Biblical Studies program.  

After years of prayer and preparation, Sunset is pleased to announce a new degree program in biblical studies. This is a religious degree focused on Biblical studies and Christian ministry. It is a statement to churches, Christian organizations and to congregational leaders that the holder of a degree from Sunset has achieved a high level of knowledge and training and has earned the degree designation. Our degree program is designed to equip students to teach the whole counsel of God, and to effectively participate in a variety of ministry applications.

Since Sunset is a single purpose professional institute of ministry, our degrees reflect our uniqueness. We don’t want to misrepresent the nature, scope and substance of our degree program. We are committed to preparing students for ONE THING: Ministry in the Lord’s church. Since our program is an intensive academic and practical study of the Bible and related ministry subjects it does not include a liberal arts component. Sunset International Bible Institute is not seeking regional accreditation but it is widely recognized among Churches of Christ as a quality ministry training school. Our degree program is authorized by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
